Trying not to break three wonderful hearts!

Help me keep from breaking three sweet little hearts

Above is the link to a Gofundme page.  Two weeks ago, My family had me working a full time day job, plus my writing.  My wife was working a part-time job, and things were going great.  We had invested several thousands of dollars into our first ever family vacation.  Almost everything on the Florida end is paid in full (Non-refundable), and we put in a bunch of money getting a vehicle ready to go from Michigan to Florida and back.  In one week, it’s turned into a nightmare.  My day job ended suddenly, and my wife was stricken with strep so severe, they might be forced to remove her tonsils.  Making things worse, the car we invested all that money into blew the head gasket.  We have three incredible children that we’ve been prepping for this trip for months (They all have different levels of Autism, so preparing them for a big change in routine is important), and if we back out this close to the trip (Scheduled to leave on the 24th of May), they will be heartbroken.  I know there are people in far worse situations than us, but I cannot give up without trying everything I can for my children.  Thank you and God Bless.  (Pics of my kids are on the page)

Things are changing, they always do,
Something’s happening, this much is true.
The weather is different, something’s wrong,
It’s changing too fast, yet it’s taking too long.
we used to have an idea, or at least a guess,
How the weather might be, but now it’s a mess.
Seems like we get too much rain, but it’s always dry,
The plants quickly come to life, and just as quickly die.
The warm sun rises, making feel like eighty degrees,
But by the evening, you’ll be lucky if you don’t freeze.
These drastic changes are harsh, affecting us all,
Even though it’s spring, sometimes it feels like fall.
Something is wrong; we can see it every day,
But it’s something we can change, and make it go away.
We just have to remember, this planet is life for us all,
If it dies or changes drastically, we all may fall.
So protect the world around you, decide to live smart,
Love the life it gives you, and keep it in your heart.
For if it all ends, we shall parish like the planet we neglect,
So love our Mother Earth, and all the creatures she protects.

We the people – Rant

Hey folks,

Flint, Michigan has a dangerous amount of lead in the water. It’s been known for years, and there have been several cries to help. Yet, nothing significant has been accomplished, and the help has officially been cut off. We’re told that there’s nothing we can do. We’re told to offer our thoughts and prayers. We’re told to donate in support of aid for those affected by this tragedy. Dammit, why aren’t we being told how to fix it?

It’s because they don’t want us to know the truth. We the people. Three words that signifies the real power of this country. We the people. Three words that lead our government to push for separation of the population by race, religion, political affiliation, and income. We the people. Three words that can resolve so many of our country’s problems.

Our leaders have failed us. Our infrastructure is in shambles, our education system is weak and a failure, and our successful economy is a lie. Time to realize what we should’ve known all along. We the people, have the power to change all of this, and we don’t need approval to do it.

Did you know, if every working american donated $1. One time. We could completely fix the flint water problem, and have plenty to spare to help other communities suffering from the same issues. No thoughts and prayers crap, no useless donations to a charity that probably profiteers off your good will, and no feelings of helplessness. Seriously, if we stopped letting them teach us to hate, mistrust, and segregate from one another, we could solve many of our national problems. We need to stop being greedy. Why not do this? I want to do this, what say you?

What say you?

A call to the Flat Earth Theory – Rant

Hey Folks,

I find the internet is stuffed full of useful information, however, there’s also equal amounts of crap that holds no value.  The problem is, most people these days don’t bother attempting to separate the two for any given situation.  One such issue, which has me floored with how many people buy into it, is the Flat Earth Theory.
Now, I don’t like to rant about something unless I’ve read the entire situation through, from all perspectives.  That being said, I’m still at a loss with how people can believe in a Flat Earth, when simple observations and experiments from your own home (Well, if you can see the stars) can prove them wrong.
First, Whether cone-shaped, disk-shaped, or whatever they choose to call it, there has to be something going on with the rotation of the planet.  One theory I read was that the Sun and Moon go around the Earth (Wow, really?), and another suggests the Earth does rotate, like a cone on a point.  There are other theories, but any of them can be resolved by the experiments I’m going to list.
Hope you like the night, because the experiment requires view of the stars and a telescope (Doesn’t have to be expensive, but does have to work).  Unless you’re on the equator, you’ll be able to find one of the pole stars.  These stars seem to sit stationary throughout the night.  They’re not necessary to find, but do make observations easier to track over several nights.  The rest is simple observations.  Watch the stars move.  Want to be lazy, record the night sky on camera and play it fast forward over several nights.  The movements of the stars will change, not just through the sky, but in distance to each other. Planets will zoom through, and so will the moon.  These observations will clearly show that the Earth is rotating on an axis, with two separate and opposite points. These observations are important, because of the next experiment to run.
Okay, Earth’s rotation has been established, but what about the shape?  Well, I think we can all agree the Earth has Gravity.  What shape does a spinning body of matter take with pressure from Gravitational pull and rotational speed?  Grade school science experiments show that over time, any matter under those forces will become a sphere.  Don’t take my word for it, look up what to use to do the experiment yourself.
So, whether the planet is six thousand years or six billion years old, as long as there was gravity and rotation, it’s a sphere.  If it were a cone, the planet would’ve flung away from the sun a long time ago, and we’d all be dead.  If it were a disk, we would’ve spun out of control and broke apart from our own centrifugal force.  The only shape we can scientifically prove, through our own observations and experiments (Not just what we’re told) is that the Earth, like every other celestial body of relative size, is a sphere.
Don’t believe me, figure out the experiments and observations on your own.  Don’t take anyone’s word for it.  Science cannot lie to you.  Historically, even the ancient Greeks knew the Earth was a sphere.  How do you think they created the measurement system?  The curve of the planet was taken into account.  So, if 2,300 years ago, educated people knew the world was a sphere, why is it so hard for people with the world’s knowledge at their fingertips to come to the same conclusion?
